Emote: the emotional cousin to the Motes (both upper and lower). Often found in a state of exhaustion, having spun itself into walls, windows, curtains, doors, ceilings, an étagère (or two), display cabinets, high chairs, sofas and loveseats, and other objects. Uncertain sometimes but nevertheless centrifugal force takes over, energy spinning the emote, pulling in the motes, all of them, until they smash into the wall of your bedroom, where they drop (with a slight thump), exhausted, down to the floor and under the bed, where they turn into dust bunnies that wander the halls as you sleep… and the whole cycle begins again.
Note: I’m participating in the A to Z Blogging Challenge for 2016. The challenge is to write 26 posts, each one tied to a letter of the alphabet.
